Red Pixel Studios recently designed, developed and launched a new Web site for Kenergy Corp.
Kenergy is a co-operative electricity provider for more than 45,000 homes and 10,000 businesses in Western Kentucky. Kenergy’s members are located in 14 counties and are served by more than 7,000 miles of powered lines.
As the provider of a fundamental need for such a large number of people, Kenergy needed a Web site that its customers could access on any device and would find easy to use no matter their platform.
Pro Tip: Stop using 'click here' in the links on your Web site
We have written that you should never say the word “backslash” when talking about Web addresses. Now it’s time to address another common practice that should be eradicated.
Never use the words “click here” on your Web site, particularly when they are the only words within linked text.
White House recognizes Red Pixel Studios client for climate change campaign
One of our clients is being recognized as a Champion of Change today at the White House for their work educating K-12 students and the general public about climate change issues.
Dr. David Lustick is the principal investigator of both the ScienceToGo.org and Cool Science projects. Red Pixel Studios worked with Dr. Lustick to develop a feature on the ScienceToGo.org site called “PaparOzzie” – a playful interactive app that let users take selfies or other photos, add images of Ozzie and his friends, and share them via social media and email.
We Are Continually Testing Apps
We recently implemented a testing program for all apps developed on our infoApp platform to provide an extra layer of quality assurance.
We are now using bots every night to test each and every app that we’ve developed with infoApp. Each app gets tested on multiple devices, both physical and virtual, assuring that the app works on iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads.

For 2014, The International Bar-B-Q Festival is back along the banks of the Ohio River, after the incredible transformation of Owensboro’s Riverfront with the renovation of Smothers Park and the completion of the new Owensboro Convention Center and Hampton Inn.
