We recently completed a redesigned WordPress website for Ballard Convention Center in Madisonville, Kentucky, creating a more inviting and user-friendly online experience for event planners and the general public.
The previous website had an outdated design and limited flexibility for staff to manage content. The redesign provided an opportunity to rethink how information was organized and presented, making it easier for visitors to discover everything the convention center has to offer.
For event planners, the new website highlights the facility’s advantages, event spaces, and amenities, with clear navigation to help visitors explore options for meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special events. The improved structure makes it easier to find the information needed to begin planning an event and connect with the convention center’s team.
The website also serves as a resource for the general public, making it easy to discover upcoming events and find practical information when planning a visit. A more prominent event calendar and clearly organized visitor information help keep the community informed about what’s happening at the facility.
The refreshed design features clean layouts, engaging photography, and responsive functionality, providing a consistent experience across desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Accessibility was also an important consideration throughout the project, helping make information easier to navigate and use for a broad audience.
Behind the scenes, the website is powered by WordPress, giving convention center staff the flexibility to update event listings, manage content, and promote the facility without unnecessary complexity.
