We recently designed a colorful new vehicle wrap for Mercer County Public Library’s bookmobile, giving the library’s mobile outreach program a fresh look that’s hard to miss.
The previous vehicle design lacked a clear identity. It wasn’t immediately recognizable as a bookmobile, and its appearance did little to capture the attention of children and families. The library wanted something more eye-catching that would clearly communicate the vehicle’s purpose while creating a fun, welcoming presence wherever it traveled.
Having previously designed a new logo and visual identity for Mercer County Public Library, we had an established brand to build upon. The new vehicle wrap incorporates colors and graphic elements from that identity, creating a consistent look that connects the bookmobile to the library itself.
The design places greater emphasis on the library’s name and prominently identifies the vehicle as a bookmobile, making its purpose immediately clear. Bold colors and playful graphics help create an inviting appearance, particularly for younger patrons, while ensuring the vehicle stands out as it travels throughout the community.
The result is more than a fresh coat of color. It’s an extension of the library’s brand and an opportunity to promote its services beyond the library building. Whether parked at a school, visiting a neighborhood, or traveling between stops, the bookmobile now serves as a recognizable and welcoming ambassador for Mercer County Public Library.
