We recently designed a new logo and developed the inaugural WordPress website for the West Kentucky Film Commission, establishing a distinctive visual identity and digital presence for an organization dedicated to attracting film and television production to Western Kentucky.

The project began with the development of a logo that reflects the organization’s connection to the film industry while creating a recognizable identity of its own.

The design features a stylized filmstrip that forms the letter W, with contrasting brand colors distinguishing the two sides of the film. The result is a creative, memorable mark that connects the organization’s name with its mission.

With the new identity established, we designed and developed a website to showcase the region’s advantages as a destination for film, television, and other productions.

The website highlights the diverse filming locations available throughout Western Kentucky, along with the financial advantages of producing in the region. Information about Kentucky’s entertainment incentives, production resources, and the Kentucky Sound Stage helps filmmakers and production companies explore opportunities and understand the support available to them.

The site also emphasizes the Film Commission’s role in helping productions navigate the process, from scouting locations and connecting with local resources to coordinating with communities throughout the region.

With a clean, modern design, engaging photography, and clear navigation, the website makes it easy for visitors to discover what Western Kentucky has to offer. Fully responsive layouts provide a consistent experience across mobile devices, tablets, and desktop computers, while accessibility-minded development helps ensure information is available to a broad audience.

Built on WordPress, the website also gives Film Commission staff the flexibility to manage content, share news, and promote the region as new opportunities and productions emerge.

Together, the new logo and website establish a cohesive brand identity and a strong foundation for the West Kentucky Film Commission’s ongoing efforts to attract productions, support filmmakers, and promote Western Kentucky as a place to bring stories to life.
