We recently completed a redesigned WordPress website for the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, building on the existing site we had developed to significantly improve overall structure, usability, and accessibility.
While the previous website served the organization well, its structure made it increasingly difficult for users to quickly find information about membership, events, advocacy efforts, and business resources. As content grew over time, navigation became less intuitive for both visitors and staff.
The redesigned website focuses on clearer organization and a more intuitive user experience. Improved navigation and page structure make it easier for members, local businesses, and the broader community to explore chamber programs, upcoming events, and key resources. The site is fully responsive, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience across mobile devices, tablets, and desktop computers.
From an accessibility standpoint, the redesign placed a strong emphasis on readability, navigation clarity, and inclusive design practices. These improvements help ensure the site can be used by a wider audience while meeting modern accessibility expectations.
The site continues to be powered by WordPress, making it easy for chamber staff to manage content, publish updates, and adapt the website as organizational needs evolve. As with all of our projects, the redesign was completed with a focus on affordability, long-term sustainability, and ease of maintenance.
