The Daniel Pitino Shelter is the winner of the Red Pixel Studios Sweet 16 Award, narrowly surpassing Puzzle Pieces by receiving 51.2% of votes cast in the final round, with 730 voters participating.
The Daniel Pitino Shelter receives an extraordinary website, built with a beautiful RPS Theme using our powerful RPS Framework for WordPress and customized to match their brand.
The Red Pixel Studios Sweet 16 Award was created to thank the Owensboro region for supporting the business for 16 years by awarding a free website to an area non-profit organization and involving the community to help select the organization.
Voting for the award took place on the Red Pixel Studios Facebook page over three rounds, beginning March 12 and concluding April 3.
“We are excited to work with the Daniel Pitino Shelter to develop their new website,” said Eric Kyle, president of Red Pixel Studios. “The work that they do to help the unfortunate in our community by providing food, shelter and assistance is inspiring.”
Eight organizations participated: Daniel Pitino Shelter, Friends of Sinners, Habitat for Humanity of Owensboro – Daviess County, Munday Activity Center, Owensboro Regional Suicide Prevention Coalition, Puzzle Pieces, Tri-State Honor Dogs and Trinity High School.
