Congratulations are in order after one of our designers, Amanda Shanks, was awarded the Gladys Martin Best in Show in the art category at the Juried Art Exhibit at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts in Madisonville, Ky.
Amanda won for her charcoal on paper “Lady Mary Quite Contrary,” a depiction of Lady Mary Crawley, a character on the BBC series "Downton Abbey."
The Hopkins County Tourist & Convention Commission won two awards in the 2013 Kentucky Travel Industry Association’s Traverse Awards for Excellence in Tourism Marketing competition.
The tourism group won first place in the Visitors Guide category for their fold-out brochure, with a cover designed by Red Pixel Studios, and second place in the New Website category for the mobile website at visitmadisonvilleky.com, designed and developed by Red Pixel Studios.
We won a major award tonight: First prize in Buenos Aires "BA Apps" contest for our Bicicleta app, by unanimous jury decision.
