Daviess County Public Library launches a modern, accessible website

Daviess County Public Library on a laptop

We are proud to announce the launch of the new WordPress website for Daviess County Public Library, our hometown library. Having designed and developed the previous site, this new project represented a comprehensive overhaul to address significant challenges with mobile usability, accessibility, and site structure.

The old site was outdated and not optimized for modern devices, making it difficult for many patrons to access services and resources on phones or tablets. Accessibility features were limited, restricting the ability of visitors with disabilities to fully engage with the library’s offerings.

The new website was built with a clear emphasis on a logical, user-friendly structure. Improved navigation helps users quickly find information on a wide range of services and resources, including extensive programming, digital collections, and especially the library’s renowned Genealogy & Local History Services. This focus supports the many patrons who rely on the library for research, community heritage, and family history exploration.

Fully responsive and accessible, the site provides a seamless experience across all devices and meets modern accessibility standards. Built on WordPress, it allows library staff to easily update content, promote events, and maintain a dynamic presence that evolves with the community’s needs.

This project reflects our commitment to helping local organizations thrive through thoughtful design and technology, and we’re honored to support Daviess County Public Library’s mission in this way.
