Red Pixel Studios launched a new website for Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative, developing the site with a strict deadline in a narrow window.
Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative is a rural electric cooperative based in Paducah, serving approximately 30,000 consumer-members across six counties in Western Kentucky. JPEC is one of 24 rural electric distribution cooperatives in Kentucky, which together provide electricity for 1.5 million Kentuckians in 117 of Kentucky’s 120 counties.
JPEC decided not to continue an annual agreement with their web provider, as that developer was unable to provide the type of innovative approach and easy-to-manage platform that they were seeking. JPEC was ultimately given a 60-day window to find a new developer who could meet their communications objectives for the website while working within a tight deadline.
With our experience in working with other electric utilities – Kenergy and OMU – we were familiar with the requirements that JPEC outlined. We were confident that we could meet their strict time constraint with our RPS Engage solution, which enables us to quickly build a high-quality website on our own innovative framework for WordPress, with its distinct focus on performance, security and ease-of-use.
We worked with the communications team at JPEC to make improvements to the structure of the new website to make it easier for visitors to find information about the services and programs that the cooperative provides. We created a cleaner, brighter design to make the site more welcoming.
We were able to complete the design, development, and migration of content within one month, launching the site with days to spare.
