Red Pixel Studios uses Authy to authenticate logins to the WordPress admin. After you login with your username and password, Authy verifies you through your smartphone (or an app on your computer).
Lost Password
If you forget your password, do not guess. You will be locked out after five failed attempts.
To reset your password, click Lost your password? below the login module.
Configure Authy
The first time that you log in with your password you will be asked to enter your cellphone number to set up Authy.
Enter your phone number and click Enable.
You will receive a text message to your cellphone:
Two-Step Authentication was just configured for your Red Pixel Studios account. Install Authy at https://www.authy.com/install to get your security codes
Get the Authy App
Click the link in the text message to get the Authy app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), OR visit https://www.authy.com/install on your phone.
Register Your App
Follow the steps on the App to register. Be sure to allow the app to send push notifications.
Enter the Authorization Code
Meanwhile, your computer will display the screen below.
If you have already installed the app from the text message, enter the 7-digit code (Token) shown in your app into the field, and click Verify Token.
If you did not receive a text message to download the app, follow the instructions on the screen.
Subsequent Logins
Once you have the Authy app configured on your smartphone, you will receive a push notification after you login.
You can use the Requests feature on the app to approve a login with a few taps. You do not have to type a code each time to authenticate.
Authy on your computer
Authy provides apps that run on your computer, giving you another way to authenticate a login besides your smartphone.
If you use the Chrome browser, you can get the Authy app from the Chrome Web Store.
Authy also offers stand-alone desktop apps for Windows and Mac.
Note: There are separate Windows apps for 32-bit or 64-bit. Find out which version of Windows you are running.
